This paper examines how a dynamic management networking perspective contributes to the cumulative knowledge about the study of management networking in the public sector. The present study seeks to understand the relative effects of past and present networking relationships on the performance of current applications by (1) exploring the nonlinear effects of relative networking levels on performance and (2) examining how relative networking interacts with organizational conditions. Different aspects of institutional and professional environments are identified, helps. Using a panel data set from local schools in the United States from 1999 to 2015, this study shows that as the relative level of managerial networking increases, organizational performance improves more rapidly when the organization meets its institutional needs. Satisfies and complex environment, transcendent and chaotic, the organization uses the benefits of relative networking more effectively.
