English

The present study was designed and conducted with the aim of developing a model for promoting the culture of responsibility in the home appliance industry, with Entekhab Industrial Group as the case study. In terms of purpose, the study is developmental-applied; from the perspective of data collection, it is descriptive; and in terms of the certainty of data, it is exploratory. The research adopted a qualitative approach, and semi-structured interviews were used for data collection. Purposive sampling with a snowball approach was employed and continued until theoretical saturation was achieved. Following 15 interviews with managers, senior experts, and experienced employees of Entekhab Industrial Group and other companies active in the home appliance industry, theoretical saturation was reached. The interview data were analyzed using thematic analysis based on the inductive approach proposed by Attride-Stirling. The findings indicated that the dimensions and components of the model for promoting the culture of responsibility could be classified into 125 basic themes, 27 organizing themes, and 5 global themes. The global themes included: “Semantic and Identity-Based Foundations of Responsibility,” “Discursive Leadership and Cultural Modeling,” “Socialization and Reproduction of Responsible Values,” “Organizational Lifeworld and Responsible Disposition,” and “Discursive Outcomes and the Accumulation of Social Capital.”
The extracted model demonstrates that promoting a culture of responsibility in the home appliance industry is a multilayered and interactive process that begins with semantic and identity-based foundations, is guided through discursive leadership and cultural modeling, is consolidated through processes of socialization and the reproduction of values, is manifested in the organizational lifeworld and responsible disposition, and ultimately leads to discursive outcomes and the accumulation of social capital. Unlike traditional approaches that primarily emphasize the functional and structural dimensions of responsibility, the model presented in this study adopts an anthropological and sociological perspective on the culture of responsibility and highlights the role of semantic, identity-based, discursive, and symbolic factors in promoting this culture. The proposed model can serve as a guiding framework for managers in the home appliance industry and other similar industries to promote a culture of responsibility and can provide a basis for future research in the field of corporate social responsibility, particularly in designing cultural and organizational interventions.
