Studying the Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence and Happiness of Students in Maragheh Faculty of Medical Sciences

Abstract
In this article, we investigated the relationship between emotional intelligence and happiness of students of Maragheh Faculty of Medical Sciences, descriptive research method is correlation type. In this research, emotional intelligence was considered as a predictor variable and happiness as a criterion variable. All female students of Maragheh Azad University of Medical Sciences were selected as the statistical population in the academic year 1402-1403. Then, 380 people from this statistical population were selected based on the type of research and the number of variables studied. The data of the research was collected using Baran Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (1980) and Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (1989). The obtained data were statistically analyzed using the correlation test in SPSS 26 software. The research findings revealed that there is a positive and significant correlation between emotional intelligence and happiness. The results show that emotional intelligence in students increases happiness.
